phpMyAdmin is a highly efficient PHP-based tool which is used to handle MySQL databases using a web interface. You could use it to run MySQL commands, set up, modify and erase cells, rows and tables or handle users with different levels of access to the database in question. Every one of these tasks can be carried out from any device as long as you have an Internet browser and access to the website hosting account where the database is. With phpMyAdmin, you could also export or import a whole database, which is a very helpful feature if you'd like to migrate a web site from one hosting provider to another. A variety of file formats are supported for the so-called dump file - CSV, SQL, XML and PDF, dependant upon what you would like to do - move the data from one hosting account to another, preview an entire database in a spreadsheet app for example Microsoft Excel, and so forth.
phpMyAdmin in Hosting
phpMyAdmin is featured as a part of our hosting and you'll be able to access it anytime from your Hepsia CP. All databases which you set up in the account shall be listed in alphabetical order inside the MySQL Databases section of the CP and all it shall take to access any of them shall be to click on the tiny phpMyAdmin icon, that'll be on the right side of each and every database. You will not need to enter any information, as you'll be logged in automatically in a new web browser tab. If you would like to sign in manually rather than going through the CP, you shall be able to do that via our direct phpMyAdmin login page where you shall have to enter the database account information. This option is useful if you want to grant access to a specific database to a third party, for instance a web designer.
phpMyAdmin in Semi-dedicated Hosting
We supply phpMyAdmin with each and every semi-dedicated server account since our plans support MySQL-driven websites. The tool is incorporated in our in-house built Hepsia Internet hosting Control Panel and if you would like to edit any database, you just have to go to the MySQL section and click on the phpMyAdmin icon for a certain database. You shall not need any login credentials because you shall be signed in automatically. If you do not want to go through your CP or you need to grant access to any database to another individual for some reason, you shall also have an alternative option - to visit our phpMyAdmin direct login page where our system will require the database username and password. If you hire a web page designer, for example, you can take advantage of that option to enable them to work on your site without giving them access to any files, e-mails or other databases inside the account.
